Aspen/Snowmass to Rock Spring

A long day in the car travelling north into Wyoming and the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. We drove through a flat and featureless landscape that reminded us of some parts of Australia. Very flat with low shrub that provided a grey green landscape. Every so often it was punctuated with gas extraction fields that went on for miles. Once we joined the interstate travelling west towards Rock Spring, the truck traffic left me feeling a little bit nervous. Enormous trucks moving very fast. Great relief to reach our accommodation for the night.
