Mesa Verde to Telluride
Thursday June 26, 2014
Most of the early morning we spent visiting the archaeological ruins of Mesa Verde. Toured the ranger guided Balcony dwellings and then visited the spots we could get to without a ranger. Not sure I could do the site justice. I did find it hard to get my head around what life must have been like for the ancient Puebloans. From Mesa Verde we headed north towards Telluride. The landscape became more lush and green and mountainous. Telluride is simply heavenly for people like us. We could spend a month here and barely scratch the surface of all the area offers.
