Tapestry of Creation

On our last day in Barcelona we took a day trip to Girona about 100km to the north. Having visited Segovia, Salamanca and Avila near Madrid, with similar historical importance to Girona,  I kind of knew what to expect in Girona. The old town of Girona is an important historical town dating back to Roman times with intact city walls and significant Cathedral and Basilica dating back to the 14th century.   Outstanding artifacts are held in these churches, and for me the most beautiful was the Tapestry of Creation dating back to the 11th century.
