Canadian Rockies
Mt Robson Provincial Park, Aug 11-12, 2010
The mountain crags of the Rockies could be seen from a long way off as we approached from the west. We were soon stopped near the base of Mt Robson which at 3,954m is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. We walked the Berg Trail and camped in the gorgeously named Valley of a Thousand Falls.
It was breathtaking beautiful landscape where you walk along a swift flowing glacial river, waterfalls, lakes and a glacier all in a very compact area that can be easily accessed. Rain accompanied us most of the way which made the infrequent sunny breaks all the more welcomed.
I have developed a whole new appreciation for the power of water, in all its forms, to shape the land.
