Wildfires
Glacier and Revelstone National Parks Aug 17, 2010
We had plans to spend some time in Glacier and Revelstone National Parks on our way back towards the west coast but wildfires in BC have filled the sky with smoke which covers the mountains. The smoke makes it impossible to see anything and not pleasant for being out on the trails. We did stop at the old growth cedar forest in Glacier and also had a glimpse of how majestic the landscape looks with hundreds of glaciers fringing the very compact mountain range. But it was not to be on this trip. We did a quick ‘minibago’ preview of the parks and decided to head west
towards the coast, to spend a bit of time in Garibaldi Provincial Park hoping the air will be a little clearer.
